We make the link between you and the artisans who make it. We are in Morocco in Tangier.
Who made ?
Discover true Moroccan artisanal quality. Have you perhaps already encountered resellers posing as manufacturers in Marrakech, Essaouira or elsewhere in Morocco? It's usual. Not to mention that these carpet merchants do not always pay the artisans, which is unacceptable, given the effort made by women to make a carpet.
Finding the true craftsman is not an easy thing, far from it. You have to travel many kilometers and speak Arabic and Berber to find out who is really making it. This is what we do and it is a complicated task.
We establish a climate of mutual trust so that everyone works in the same direction. This sense is that of quality with professional monitoring over time.
You may have had bad experiences in the past that dissuaded you from discovering the beauty and authenticity of Moroccan artisanal products. It's regrettable. You can now be part of our circle of privileged decoration shops aimed at supporting local craftswomen, increasing their standard of living which is still low, and preserving their precious know-how passed down from generation to generation.
We know a little of their history
Understanding the history of the women artisans who create the rugs adds a unique dimension to their value. These life stories enrich the shopping experience by giving customers a deep connection with the product. We do not want to put a Berber rug online with just a price.
Better understand a product
The price of a rug is not just about its width and length. The quality of the wool used will be important, the quality of the weave, know for example that for a M'rirt Berber carpet, there will be almost three to five additional days of work for numerous washings of the carpet, etc. We know how to explain all this to you.
Additional products: poufs, throws, cushions, blankets
We will gradually bring additional decorative items from weaving, sewing or bordering. These will be, for example, throws, blankets, bedspreads, poufs, cushions. Always in the spirit of quality and craftsmanship that is out of the ordinary.
Our commitment
Our goal is not to always go for the cheapest option. We firmly believe that quality has a cost. Rather than dragging down craftsmanship, our intention is to support and preserve the level of exceptional quality embodied by authentic Berber rugs. What would really satisfy us is to reward these women at the end of each year for their tireless efforts, whether through comfort goods, money or gifts. We are committed to this end. By choosing to buy from us, you directly support these women artisans and realize that your act of purchasing contributes to a solidarity economy, thus participating in improving the well-being of a population whose human values are rich and inspiring for us Westerners who are increasingly cut off from humans and nature.
